Happy Canada Day! We checked out a local parade, complete with horsies, flashing lights and candy being strewn about.
We also celebrated the birth of our land with some good old-fashioned bubble blowing and some pool romping. And hose spraying. Lots of hose spraying.
We went strawberry picking at our favourite u-pick and rushed home to make a delicious batch of strawberry rhubarb jam. And of course strawberry shortcake...with lots of whipped cream.
Mr. Doo brought a stroller and pushed it around through the fields like a trooper. |
Tootie was my champion picker, picking a giant basketful all by herself. |
Lots of backyard fun!
We discovered a new park and splash pad that is full of fun awesomeness.
We visited the Most Mr. Doo-iest Museum of all time. Full of farm animals and tractors. He was so in his element, it was a thing to behold. We were lucky enough to be joined by old friends and a great time was had by all that day.
Mr. Doo attempting to "enter" the "do not enter" zone. Without success. |
And the last most exciting thing...a real haircut for Mr. Doo. As he is not a big fan of receiving buzz cuts (mostly due to the noise that goes along with), I decided to take him in for a true haircut experience. He was good as gold. Had he been in possession of whiskers, not a one would have twitched. The result was one handsome little dude.
And that's it. Our summer fun in a nutshell. We are currently enjoying a fantastic vacation in New Brunswick. More on that coming soon!
